June Favourites

Hey, loves! How are you all doing on this extremely hot summer day? Not exaggerating when I say 'extremely hot', there are about 43-44 degrees in the sun! I'm not complaining though, beause I adore summer.
Thus, I finally got myself to take a look at the products that were indispensable for me last month. Wow, 'last month'....I can't believe time flew by so fast..anyway! I tried to focus stricly on the stuff that I used most and loved/ love.

    - The Body Shop Almond Nail & Cuticule Treatment - whenever I use this, my nails get much stronger and stop breaking...I must say it's a 'miracle product' for me!

  - Alverde Macadamia Nut Body Butter (mini version, to carry around) - I adore it, you can find more details about it in this post .

- Complex Apicol - Emulsie antirid cu lăptişor de matcă Apidermin (english: Apidermin Anti-wrinkle Emulsion with Royal Jelly) - I have too many good things to say about this one, so I'll just do a separate review on it, I love all their products that I tried so far (and would LOVE to try more)!

 - Nivea Fruity Shine lip balm with Pink Guava - this appeared in the last 'month's favourites' post I did (in fact I still love the past favourites too!)...as I mentioned, many Nivea lip balms have disappointed me, but this one made up for it all!

      - Balea Sensitive lip balm - I got this more as a back-up lip balm, I am very picky with lip balms, but this one is does a great job and a major bonus is that it doesn't leave those ugly white stripes on the sides of the lips!

     - Manhattan Multi Effect mono eyeshadow in Black - black eyeshadow is a must for me, I can say I use it in every single make-up (on myself at least), combined with other colors or on it's own. I really liked this one!

    - Miss Sporty Studio Lash EyeLiner - I can't say it's suuuper resistent, eventhough I used it mostly without an actual primer (just foundation ->eyeshadow->liquid liner), but I like the brush, it's not too thin or too soft, so I can handle it with more precision.

    - a cute bracelet that was one of my favourite accessories at the beginning of this summer. I like the fact that eventhough it's 'summerish' with butterflies and flowers, it's sill my style at the same time (my style being a bit edgy, even obscure, haha). It's pretty solid, no danger of losing it easily, and it goes with ellegant stuff, as well as well as with my everyday mixed-up style.

- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - this is what I've started reading a few days ago! I actually love reading more than watching movies, especially now during summer, what can be better than laying in the sun with a good book? Haven' finished reading them yet, really enjoying it though.
Have a wonderful day! :)

Purifying and drainage tea by Fares

Eventhough this is a romanian product, I will write about it in english so that everyone can understand! (not fond of translating my posts in any language for various reasons, one of them being that I babble a lot, and plus I have two native languages to start with! So I'd end up with even LONGER posts).

First of all: I love tea!
Second of all, I don't know about you, but I tend to gain weight during winter, more than ever! I eat a lot, lots of sweets during holidays (yum!), since I hate cold I stay indoors a lot, and basically the work that I do is on the computer. So at the end of winter, I feel a desperate need to get back in shape! I don't really do any other kind of 'workout' except walking, trying to do more and more of that now. So, I relied on this weightloss tea by Fares to help me with this problem, it promises purification and drainage.
The good thing is I usually drink tea without any sweeteners, it stands on the package that it shouldn't be sweetened with anything. Fine with me!
The taste is not a bad one, I like it, tastes of herbs.
Result:
I don't know about you, but for me it works! It says you should drink it for 6-8 weeks, with 1month break. Well I didn't calculate much, I think I've been drinking it for about two weeks (excep one day). The package recommends 2 cups/ day, but I usually drink 3 unless I have to go somewhere. I am pleased and don't have problems, don't have to 'rent out the bathroom' like some girls were complaining. It does speed up the metabolism a bit, but that effect is not too strong, it is just right. But I guess it depends on everyone's organism! So you can increase or diminish the quantity, according to your reaction.
But I can really see results on arms, legs, waistline/stomach and just overall. Don't think you will be skin and bones after a cup or so, haha! I don't even want that! Just want to get back into my normal shape :D
I will continue with this tea for at least the indicated time and will tell you what direction it will lead me to eventually :)

What was your experience with this tea, or with any weightloss tea?

What happened to the world?

Words of wisdom...
I can't understand why some girls would starve themselves until they look like a broomstick...Your guy should have something to grab, something to spank! :)) Of course, there is nothing wrong with a so-called healthy lifestyle, but let's not exaggerate. A girl should not give up all her pleasures just to be liked by otehrs, and besides, the people that like you the way you are, are the ones that deserve you :) Remember:

"To all the girls that think you're ugly because you're not a size 0, you're the beautiful one. It's society whose ugly." -Marilyn Monroe.

Anti-cellulite experiment

Eventhough I've never believed in anti-cellulitic 'magic potion' lotions, I have decided to try some anti-cellulite treatments, since I've bumped into them anyway. So as most women confront this problem at some point, regardless of their weight (yes, skinny girls can have cellulite too),  I have started experimenting with 2 anti-cellulite creams, along with the usual alternate showers (switching water temperature from hot to cold a few times, at the end of a shower) and body scrubs.
The first one and the one I am currently using is Cellulight by Elmiplant. It seems to be the harshest one of the two. It has a strong smell, very 'spicy', you feel the skin getting warm from it. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that is stings my wrists where the skin is sensitive (since, during the massage, some of it can get on the wrists, obviously) and turns the skin red. Another inconvenient is that the consistency is very thick, makes it harder to work with.

The second one is simply called anti-cellulite cream (Cremă Anticelulitică) by Gerovital Plant. The smell is more bearable and pleasant, the consistency is also much more creamy and fluid, much easier to work with, but I have just tried it once or twice so far, to compare their texture, smell and other shallow features.

The real deal is to see which one will be more effective? If any. So far, about the first one I can just say that it seems to make the skin slightly more firm and smooth. I will be back with the results on this!

**What experiences did you have with anti-cellulite products so far, or just other simiar 'bodyshape enhancement' products? Feel free to comment!

Favourite Body Scrubs

As this blog is not focused entirely on make-up, I wanted to share two of my favourite bodycare products. I love body scrubs in general, they give a feeling of rebirth or so :P My first favourite is this shower gel with body scrub function, by Bourjois, with jojoba oil and lily. The scent is fantastic, it has a thick and creamy consistence, with tiny grains to do the peeling part. It hydrates the skin, removes dead skin cells, and leaves the skin truly soft and silky, and firm. I will need to purchase some other 'flavors' as well, from this line!
My other favourite scrub is Tropics by AVON Senses. Also lovely scent, I adore it, especially during summer. The grains are a bit bigger than in the previous product, it has a lighter consisence though. I don't use this one daily since it is a bit more radical, usually just once a week, sometimes more often. I am about to run out of the second tube I bought already, and will surely keep on buying it.

Which are your favourite bodycare products?
